At Change Begins Today CBT Ltd, we have a range of therapists based in different locations. We understand that for many people, choosing to pursue therapy is a difficult decision, and will support you in this process. Your preference based on needs, availability and location will be discussed with you, and you will be able to talk to your therapist on the phone prior to committing to any appointment if you wish. There are no hidden fees or expectations that you will commit to a ‘block’ of sessions at the outset. Therapy is individual because people are different. Our therapists have different experience and skills, but all are accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (www.BABCP.com). Our therapists work in both the NHS and the private sector. They are experienced working with adults, children and adolescents across a variety of settings including education and healthcare. Children and Young Adults can struggle to manage challenging life situations and events such as family breakdown, bereavement or bullying, exam stress or social demands can be overwhelming. Change Begins Today CBT has therapists who are experienced working with children and young people. We aim to help younger clients become more aware of their thoughts, feelings and behaviour, and understand how this influences the world around them. We aim to help equip our younger clients and the parents or carers with life skills to manage emotions effectively. We can also help identify early emerging difficulties such as anxiety or OCD and adaptation to traumatic events. We are aware that there has been an increased awareness of the impact of stress on young people and are offering outreach work to schools and educational institutions also.
